Vineyard Richmond

My family and I serve God and our community at Vineyard Community Church Richmond.   VCCR was planted out of the Vineyard Community Church in Lexington, Kentucky. For a number of years people had been praying and seeking the face of God about planting a church in Richmond; in February of 2009 a conversation was opened with Pastor Joe and Janice Wood about leading a church plant there. After much prayer and fasting, many meetings and discussions, it seemed good to us and to the Holy Spirit that this was what God was asking us to do. God gathered persons together of spiritual maturity and vision, persons hungry to change this community in Jesus’ name and the church held its first Sunday morning service August 23, 2009. It was launched with two services and approximately 200 people.  As we gather, God is still shaping and defining us as a people and a church.

We continue to strive to be a community of people saved by grace, motivated by love and defined by service. Our goal is to make a lasting impression upon this community by reaching out and changing people’s lives in love and deed.  We invite you to join us on this journey.

Vineyard Community Church Richmond

As a new community, we want to bring the good news of God’s restoration to the poor, the broken and the hurting people of our community and even our world. It will be our goal to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and heal the sick as we journey together. We will intentionally gather together to worship God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We will intentionally disperse to take the message of Heaven to the poor and rich, to our friends and to our enemies. We will strive to be people of peace and prayer, and let active love be the evidence that we are here.
